Bethany Saltman has devoted her life to guiding writers in crafting books and literary careers that change lives—their own and their readers.’ As the founder of BOOKISH, a boutique book-development agency and co-host of the podcast BOOKBOUND, she has shepherded dozens of aspiring authors through the process of finding their unique authority and writing exceptional book proposals and bestselling books. 

Bethany is also a published poet who received an MFA from Brooklyn College where she worked with Allen Ginsberg, a popular essayist, and the author of the critically acclaimed book, Strange Situation: A Mother’s Journey Into the Science of Attachment (2020, Random House). Strange Situation was named one of the Top Science Books of 2020 by New Scientist, published in five countries, and is included in psychology syllabi around the world. Bethany lives in the Catskills of New York where she is a longtime Zen practitioner, as well as a Brown-University certified leadership coach.
